Carlo Ancelotti began his career as a player at Parma, standing out as a midfielder with a good passer of the ball. He later played for Roma, where he was at his peak, winning a Serie A title and four Italian Cups.

As a coach, Ancelotti has worked for several clubs, including AC Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Everton. In 2022, he became the coach with the most UEFA interclub tournament wins and the most UEFA Champions League wins123. He is currently in charge of Real Madrid. In all, the coach has played in 1,293 games in his history and 60% of them have been victories.

  1. Luciano Spaletti – Napoli

Luciano began his career as a player, playing in the lower leagues and reaching his peak in Serie C, playing for Empoli and Spezia, teams of which he became captain and iconic player. As a coach, he made his debut in Serie C1 with Empoli and, in just four years, reached Serie A.

He has played for several Italian clubs, including Sampdoria, Venezia, Udinese, Ancona, Roma, Zenit St. Petersburg and Internazionale. In 2021, he took over Napoli, leading the club to the historic 2022-23 Serie A title after 33 years. In total, Spalletti has played in 1003 games, with a 52% win rate. He is currently the coach of the Italian national team and one of the best coaches in the world.

  1. Simone Inzaghi – Inter de Milão

He began his career at Piacenza, playing for various small teams in Italy, such as Carpi, Novara, Lumezzane and Brescello. At Lazio, where he played for eight seasons, he excelled and later moved to Atalanta. He only played three games for the Italian national team. As a coach, Inzaghi continued at Lazio, initially in charge of the U-20 team and, in the final stretch of the 2015-16 season, he took over the first team.

He won the 2018-19 Italian Cup with the club, as well as the 2017 and 2019 Italian Super Cup titles. In 2021, he was signed by Internazionale, where he has already won the 2021 Italian Super Cup and the 2022 Italian Cup. In all, Inzaghi has played in 497 games, with a 60% win rate. He is currently in charge of Inter Milan.

Fernando Diniz, coach of Fluminense, was the only Brazilian to be nominated for the position of best coach in the world in 2023 by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS), reaching fifth place in the ranking.

Champion of the Campeonato Carioca and Copa Libertadores with Fluminense in 2023, Diniz was the only South American coach to appear in the IFFHS top-10 and also the only coach of a non-European team on the list.

Diniz has played in 428 games, with a win rate of 43%. His tactical approach is unique, with players keeping possession of the ball from the back and moving forward in groups, almost like in futsal. His innovative style and focus on sports psychology make him one of the best coaches in the world
